Jacquiline + Jacob

One of my original makeup muses. Her vow renewal and celebration of love took place in August, 2025 in Grass Valley, CA. Under 90+ degree heat, her makeup lasted all night.

“Working with Kelsey is an absolute dream. Her artistry is flawless. She enhances the natural beauty while delivering a polished, elevated look. She is incredibly professional, calm, and organized, and her communication is clear and reassuring throughout the entire process. I’ve worked with her more than once and I’d never choose anyone else to do my makeup! An A++++ experience!” — Jacqui J.

Alexandria + Frankie

This couple are two of the most creative individuals I have worked with. Alexandria is a poet and performance artist, Frankie is a painter, tattooer, jewelry designer. You name it, this couple can do it. Their wedding took place over Halloween Weekend in 2022 at the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, CA. They both wanted colorful and bold looks that complimented their personalities and beautifully detailed outfits.

“Kelsey did my makeup and my spouse’s makeup for our “alternative/Goth” Halloween season wedding. This was an easy choice for me because as a Black woman I wanted to work with an artist that had experience and expertise in working with color, but could also pull off the dramatic and more intense, glamorous look that I was going for. I knew that Kelsey would be successful with this assignment because I had worked with her previously as the MUA for professional photos in themed photoshoots for different seasons. My spouse and I were able to have consultation appointments with her to discuss what we each wanted for our wedding day well before the big day; I left those appointments feeling more excited about the wedding and most importantly, feeling beautiful without being overdone. I love that we were able to incorporate a Black-owned brand into the products used for the final look, and I even bought myself the very same eyeshadow palette! Kelsey uses high-end products, and really customizes the experience to your preferences. We couldn’t have been happier with this experience. Kelsey is an attentive artist, and it’s clear that she wants to make sure her clients are happy with whatever look they choose.” — Alexandria C.W.

Anita + Jonathon

Anita wanted what I would describe as a “goth glam” look for her wedding. It was important for her to feel like herself, but elevated, and have a look that went into the darkness of night.

“I have a lot of anxiety about my appearance and letting others both see me without makeup and do my makeup, and Kelsey was so gentle and nonjudgmental with me. Getting my makeup done by her was a healing and transformative experience, and one I’ve now done numerous times! She makes me feel so incredibly special and beautiful when I sit in her chair!” — Anita T.
